This vegan twist on traditional Mongolian beef features savory seitan or plant-based protein in a rich, flavorful sauce that will have you coming back for seconds.

Ingredients will you need

Whisk together vegetable broth, brown sugar, soy sauce, oyster mushroom sauce, whole wheat flour, sesame seeds, and chili powder in a small bowl. Set aside

In a large bowl, combine gluten, cornstarch, garlic powder, hoisin sauce, onion powder, smoked paprika, and ground black pepper. Toss and mix well

Then, pour the oil into a heated skillet or large wok over medium heat. Place and cook the marinated seitan and fry for 3-5 minutes

Add in the onions and bell peppers. Continue cooking for another 3 minutes while stirring constantly.

Pour the sauce mixture in and let it simmer for 2 minutes, stirring once in a while.
