Hi Simply Bakers!
It’s been a while, but I’m back! (I promise!!) 😁
I got married last year (most of you know this) and I moved out of my parents house which was the first time in my life. (I lived in the dorms in college, but that was only 25 minutes away from my parents and I pretty much went home every other day, lol).
Anyways ten months later, my husband and I left our lives and moved to a new area so I could pursue a higher education. I gotta say it was tough leaving my family, friends, basically my life to pursue my education, however I was super excited to move. We found a great place which is close to the school, close enough to the city, and close to the hiking areas. After a month, I followed up with the school I had planned to continue my education, and found out the school discontinued the program I was to major in without notifying me. I was shocked and horrified. Basically it took about two months to figure out what happened and by then I was so mentally and emotionally tired.
So basically we are stuck in a one year lease, no family or friends close by, no church family, no local yummy delicious vegetarian asian food, and the list goes on. It’s been a very difficult experience for me because I’m very close to my family, I left my best friend, my ministry friends, active church life… but thankfully my husband is very encouraging and always finds the best in any situation.
It’s been a little over 3 months since everything happened and I have to say, I’m finally at a place where I feel at peace with whats happened.
Some of you maybe experiencing heartaches, difficulties at work or home, loss, but I want you to know that it does get easier. It may take a day, a month or even a year, but don’t give up.
Maybe some of you may have experienced something similar. Let me know in the comments.
On the bright side we live in a beautiful area. Here’s a couple of pictures I took with my iPhone when we first moved here. This is literally 5-7 minutes from my house.
So this is one reason why I’ve been MIA, there’s another reason, but I’ll save that for another post.
Also I have a new video coming out on Friday, so stay tuned!
