Ingredients
3tablespoonsolive oil
1smallred onion
200gramswhite beansdrained and washed
¼cuptomato sauce
⅔cupsquick oats
¼cupcilantrofinely chopped
juice of half lemon
1teaspooncumin powder
1teaspooncoriander powder
1teaspooncayenne pepper
¾teaspoonsea salt
½teaspoonblack pepper
Instructions
Heat a medium size pan over medium heat with 1 tablespoon oil and cook onion until tender, about 3 minutes. Remove the pan from the stove and allow it to cool down.
In a mixing bowl, add beans and mash with a fork.
then add tomato sauce, oats, cilantro, lemon juice, spices, onion, and mix until combined.
Divide into 3 balls and press with your hands to form 3 patties.
Heat a pan with 2 tablespoons oil on medium heat, cook patties on both sides until golden brown.
