Ingredients
Matcha Cupcakes
1 ½cupscake flour
1cupgranulated white sugar
1tablespoonmatcha powder
1teaspoonbaking powder
¼teaspoonbaking soda
¼teaspoonsalt
2largeeggsbeaten
½cupwhole milk
¼cupvegetable oil
¼teaspoonwhite vinegar
3tablespoonsunsalted butterroom temperature
Cream Cheese Frosting
½cupunsalted buttersoftened
8ouncescream cheesesoftened
4cupspowdered sugarsifted
1teaspoonvanilla extract
Instructions
Matcha Cupcakes
Preheat oven to 350F and prepare 1 muffin tray and line with cupcake liners, set aside.
Whisk together cake flour, sugar, matcha powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl; set aside.
In a stand mixer add beaten eggs, whole milk, vegetable oil, white vinegar, and mix together for 30 seconds.
Add half of the flour mixture and half of the butter and mix well. Then add the remaining flour and butter and blend together until fully incorporated.
Pour the batter mixture into the prepared muffin tin and bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Once the cupcakes are already cool enough, you can optionally add a frosting of your choice or serve it as is.
Cream Cheese Frosting
In a large bowl, beat softened butter and softened cream cheese until well blended and no clumps.
Slowly add 1 cup of powdered sugar at a time, then add vanilla and beat until creamy.
Use your favorite frosting tip, I used tip 1A to frost the cupcakes.
