French Breakfast Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • cup butter melted

Topping:

  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • cup butter

Instructions

  • Preheat oven 350 degrees F
  • In a large bowl add all purpose flour, white sugar, baking powder, ground nutmeg, salt, and mix.
  • In another bowl add the egg, milk, and butter and mix very well. Make a well in the dry ingredients and add the wet ingredients and mix.
  • In mini bread liners add the batter and bake for 35 minutes
