What is Pickled Mangoes?

These Pickled Mangoes, also known as burong mangga in the Philippines, are made of unripe green mangoes pickled in a white vinegar and granulated sugar mixture with red chilies and red onion slices.

Place white vinegar and granulated white sugar in a pot.

Place the remaining ingredients in a large jar with a lid.

Pour the pickling liquid into  the jar.

Close the lid and let it pickle for at least 7-9 days in the fridge before serving.

Make sure the mango slices are completely soaked in the pickling liquid for flavor absorption and even pickling.
