Ingredients

  • 3 medium Granny Smith apples peeled and cored
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • ¼ teaspoon ginger powder
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 2 tablespoons agave syrup
  • Pinch of salt
  • 10 almonds halved

Instructions

Prepare the Apples

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Peel and core the apples.
  • Thinly slice the apples and place them in a 9x6-inch baking dish.

Add the Flavorings

  • Add the cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, lemon juice, agave syrup, salt, and almonds.
  • Toss until the apple slices are evenly coated.
  • Spread the apples evenly in the baking dish.

Bake the Apples

  • Cover the baking dish with foil.
  • Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes, or until the apples are tender.

Serve

  • Remove the baked apples from the oven and allow them to cool slightly.
  • Serve warm on their own or with your favorite vegan ice cream.
