Ingredients
8-10ripe passion fruitsyielding about 1 cup pulp
3cupswaterdivided
¼–½cup sugaradjusted to taste
1tablespoonlime juicefreshly squeezed
ice cubesfor serving
Instructions
Prepare the Passion Fruits
Cut the ripe passion fruits in half.
Scoop out the pulp into a bowl. You should get about 1 cup of pulp.
Blend the Pulp
Transfer the passion fruit pulp to a blender. Then, add 2 cups of water.
Blend on low speed for a few seconds to loosen the seeds from the pulp without crushing them too much.
Strain the Mixture
Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a large pitcher.
Press down with a spoon to extract as much juice as possible.
Discard the seeds and remaining pulp.
Sweeten the Juice
Add the remaining 1 cup of water to the pitcher.
Stir in the sugar until fully dissolved. Adjust sweetness to your taste.
Add Lime Juice
Stir in the lime juice to enhance the flavor. It adds a slight tanginess thatcomplements the sweetness of the passion fruit.
Chill and Serve
Refrigerate the juice for at least 1 hour until chilled.
Serve over ice cubes if desired for a refreshing drink.
