Ingredients
4tablespoonsground toasted black sesame seeds
2cupscoconut milk
½cupcondensed milkor vegan condensed milk
2teaspoonscornstarch
⅛cupwater
½cupwhipped creamregular or coconut-based
Instructions
In a pot over medium-low heat, combine ground black sesame seeds, coconut milk, and condensed milk. Stir continuously.
Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
Slowly pour the slurry into the simmering coconut mixture while stirring.
Continue stirring until the mixture thickens slightly, then remove from heat.
Pour into dessert cups and allow to cool to room temperature.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Top with whipped cream before serving. Optionally, sprinkle with more toasted sesame seeds for added texture.
