  • Sesame seeds as needed
  • Unsweetened shredded coconut as needed

  • Red food coloring optional
  • Yellow food coloring optional

Instructions

  • Prepare the yellow cake mix according to the package instructions to make cupcakes.
  • Prepare and bake the brownie mix according to the package instructions.
  • Once the brownies are baked and cooled, cut them into circles to match the size of the cupcakes.
  • Slice the cupcakes horizontally to create top and bottom halves.
  • Assemble the Hamburger Cupcakes by layering the bottom cupcake half, a brownie circle (representing the "patty"), red frosting (for "ketchup"), sesame seeds (for "sesame seed bun"), shredded coconut (for "lettuce"), and yellow frosting (for "mustard"). Optionally, you can use green food coloring mixed with frosting for a "pickle" effect.
  • Place the top cupcake half on top to complete the hamburger look.
