Ingredients

For Cooking:

  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup vegan luncheon meat diced
  • ½ cup sweet onions sliced
  • 2 cups sayote chayote, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced

For Seasoning:

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mushroom oyster sauce
  • cups water
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

Fry the Luncheon Meat:

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
  • Fry the diced vegan luncheon meat until crisp on both sides. Remove and set aside.

Cook the Vegetables:

  • In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and cook until translucent.
  • Stir in the sliced sayote, minced garlic, soy sauce, and mushroom oyster sauce.

Simmer:

  • Pour in 1½ cups of water and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Add salt and black pepper to taste, stirring well to combine.

Serve:

  • Transfer the cooked dish to a serving bowl and serve immediately with steamed rice.
