Mais Con Yelo

Give this easy shaved ice recipe a go! Just mix sweet corn, crushed ice, condensed milk, sweet milk, and a scoop of tasty Filipino mango ice cream for a yummy layered treat

Ingredients

  • 2-3 cups shredded ice
  • ½ cup sweet corn kernels
  • ¼ cup diced mango
  • cup grated coconut meat
  • ½ cup almond milk
  • condensed milk for drizzling
  • mango ice cream optional

Instructions

  • Using an ice shaver or a sharp knife, shred ice.
  • In a serving glass or bowl, add about half a glass (or bowl) of shredded ice.
  • Add 1-2 tablespoons corn, mango, coconut meat, add a layer of shaved ice.
  • If desired add another layer of corn, shaved ice, mango, coconut meat.
  • Otherwise, drizzle, almond milk, condensed milk and finish with a scoop of mango ice cream. If desired, drizzle additional condensed milk over ice cream. Enjoy immediately!
