Instructions
Prepare the Pan
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Then line an 8 x 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it with oil or cooking spray.
Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, add the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and eggs.
Mix until smooth, light, and well combined.
Next, add the flour and salt. Mix just until everything comes together.
Be careful not to overmix!
Add the Pretzels and Chocolate
Then fold in the crushed pretzels and chocolate chips. Mix gently until they are evenly spread through the batter.
Bake the Cake
Spread the thick batter evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
Make the Chocolate Drizzle
While the cake cools slightly, combine the chocolate chips and vegetable oil.
Microwave the mixture for 20–30 seconds. Then stir until smooth and melted.
Finish the Cake
Lastly, drizzle the melted chocolate over the cake and sprinkle crushed pretzels on top.
Let the chocolate set slightly before slicing and serving!
