Pretzel Cake for Beginners

A delicious and easy to make cake perfect for parties and gatherings - Pretzel cake for beginners!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups all purpose flour**
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup crushed pretzels
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • THE TOPPING
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup crushed pretzels

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F and line a 8x8 inch baking with parchment paper and coat with oil or cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, add the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, eggs and mix until light and fluffy. Next add the flour, salt and mix until combined.
  • Add the ½ cup crushed pretzels, ½ cup chocolate chips and mix until combined.
  • Pour the batter into the baking pan and bake for 35-45 minutes. Insert toothpick in the center to test if it's baked all the way through.
  • To make the topping, mix the vegetable oil and chocolate chips and microwave for about 20-30 seconds. Using a spoon mix until melted.
  • Drizzle over the cake and then garnish with the crushed pretzels.

Notes

**it's 2 cups of all purpose flour for the recipe. I voiced the wrong measurements. :)
