Ingredients

Tofu Marinade:

  • 1 14-ounce package extra firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • ¼ cup sweet onions chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 stalk green onions sliced
  • Sesame seeds to taste

Optional:

  • Sriracha mayo for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Tofu:

  • Squeeze out all the water from the tofu by pressing it for 2 minutes or simply using your hands.
  • Chop the tofu into ½-inch cubes and place them in a mixing bowl.

Marinate:

  • Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, chopped sweet onions, and salt to the tofu.
  • Toss in the sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
  • Lightly toss all ingredients to ensure the tofu is evenly coated.

Chill:

  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld together.

Serve:

  • Serve the marinated tofu chilled, alongside steamed rice. Optionally, drizzle with sriracha mayo for an extra kick.
