    What are Reese's Puff Treats?

If you love the combination of chocolate and peanut butter, you're going to love these Reese’s Puff Treats! This no-bake dessert is crunchy, gooey, and packed with delicious flavors. This recipe is great for anyone who enjoys the sweet and salty mix of peanut butter and chocolate.

One of the best things about these Reese’s Puff Treats is how easy they are to make. There’s no need to turn on the oven—just melt, mix, and cool. With only four key ingredients, you don’t have to worry about complicated steps. Plus, you can customize the recipe by swapping out ingredients to create different flavors.

    Substitutions

    • Reese’s Puffs Cereal - You can swap this with Rice Krispies for a different crunchy texture or use a mix of different cereal bars for variety.
    • Dark Chocolate - Replace with milk chocolate for a sweeter taste, or try melted chocolate with a splash of vanilla extract for extra flavor.
    • Butter - Use creamy peanut butter for a stronger peanut butter flavor, or substitute with coconut oil for a dairy-free option.
    • Large Marshmallows - Swap with mini-marshmallows, which melt faster and mix more easily into the cereal mixture.

    Variations

    • Peanut Butter Lover’s Treats – Add 2 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter to the melted marshmallow mixture for an extra peanut butter flavor. You can also mix in chopped Reese’s Cups for even more chocolate and peanut butter goodness.
    • Chocolate Drizzle Crunch – After spreading the cereal mixture into the baking dish, drizzle melted chocolate over the top. Let it set before cutting into bars for a rich, chocolatey twist. You can use milk chocolate or dark chocolate, depending on your preference.

    Storage

    • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
    • For longer storage, freeze in a sealed bag for up to a month.

    Ingredients

    • butter
    • marshmallows
    • chocolate chips (dark)
    • cereal puffs

    Instructions

Prepare your 9x13 inch pan by oiling it down as well as the spoons or spatula you will be using. You may use a non-stick cooking spray.

In a large bowl, add the butter and spread it around the bowl, making sure to grease it:

Add the dark chocolate into the melted marshmallow mixture and mix until the dark chocolate is melted, and feel free to microwave to help melt the chocolate:

Gradually add the cereal until it's barely sticking together:

Pour into the pan and spread evenly using the oiled spatula or spoon. Cool completely and serve:

    Top Tips

    • Keep your hands and spatula greased – This prevents sticking.
    • Melt the chocolate gradually – Overheating can make it grainy.
    • Balance the cereal amount – Too much will make them crumbly.
    • For easy prep, line your baking dish with parchment paper to prevent sticking. If you prefer a stovetop method, melt everything over low heat in a large pot or saucepan, stirring constantly to avoid burning.

    FAQ

How do I keep them from being too hard?

Don’t overpack the cereal, and ensure the marshmallows are fully melted and mixed.

How long do Reese’s Puff Treats last?

Stored in an airtight container, they last up to 5 days at room temperature or 1 month in the freezer.

Can I make these treats dairy-free?

Yes! Use dairy-free butter and dark chocolate.

Here's an easy 4-ingredient marshmallow treat you will love!! Why?! Because it has chocolate for one, AND you can make this in under 20 minutes or less! I think the longest part of this recipe is allowing the marshmallow treat to cool completely!  I also mentioned in the video that I got distracted, and this treat ended up being too marshmallowy. So, gradually add the cereal puffs to get the consistency you would like.

Also, what's neat about this easy 4-ingredient marshmallow treat is that you can replace the cereal with any other cereal!  Rice cereal works very well, and that marshmallow cereal- I'm pretty sure you guys know which brand I'm talking about 🙂
