What is the Red Juice Recipe?
The Red Juice recipe is also called "Beet juice". Made with beets, carrots, and oranges, it isn’t traditionally Filipino but fits the country's love for fresh, health-boosting drinks. Inspired by global wellness trends, it blends natural sweetness with earthy depth. The standout ingredient, beets, is less common in Filipino cuisine but prized for boosting stamina and heart health.
Health Benefits of Beets
- Boosts stamina – Rich in nitrates that improve oxygen flow and endurance
- Supports heart health - Helps lower blood pressure and improve circulation
- Aids digestion - The pulp and fiber promote gut health
- Enhances brain function - Increases blood flow to the brain
- Strengthens body immunity - Packed with vitamin C and antioxidants
Substitutions
- Beets - Red bell pepper for milder sweetness or pomegranate seeds for rich color and antioxidants
- Carrots - Sweet potatoes for similar sweetness or mangoes for a tropical twist
- Oranges - Pineapple for tangy and sweet, or calamansi juice as a Filipino citrus alternative

Recipe Variations
- Creamy Red Juice – Blend in coconut milk and banana for a smooth, rich, and naturally sweet texture
- Spicy Red Juice – Add cayenne pepper and fresh turmeric for a metabolism-boosting kick
- Green Boost Red Juice – Swap oranges for green apples and add spinach or kale for extra detox benefits
Storage
- Store this red juice in an airtight glass container for 2 days in the fridge.
- Freeze in ice cube trays for up to 1 month, then blend or thaw before drinking. Shake before serving, as natural separation occurs.
Note: It does not freeze well for more than 1 month, as its texture and nutrients degrade over time.

After that, thoroughly juice the prepared ingredients.

Pour the red juice into a glass. Then serve and enjoy!

Hint: For a smoother juice, strain it through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
