    Substitutions

    • You can make this pie with other Oreo variants because I know they have a lot - strawberry shortcake, rocky road, pumpkin spice, red velvet, creamy peanut butter, and the list goes on!
    • If you’re dairy-free, opt for a dairy-free ice cream and whipped topping alternative.

    Variations

    • Golden Oreo Cheesecake: Transform this pie into a golden oreo cheesecake by adding a cream cheese mixture to the layers. Mix softened cream cheese with sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy whipping cream until smooth. Spread this mixture on top of the oreo pie crust, followed by a layer of ice cream.
    • Baked Cheesecakes: If you love the texture of baked desserts, turn this no-bake pie into a baked version by creating an Oreo cheesecake. Press the oreo crust mixture into a springform pan and bake cheesecakes for about 10–12 minutes. Let it cool before adding the ice cream and whipped cream layers.

    Storage

    • If you have any leftovers (though it’s hard to imagine!), cover the pie with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and store it in the freezer. It should last for up to a week.
    • For the best texture, store the pie in the freezer for 2–3 hours before serving. If it’s been in the freezer longer, let it sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes before slicing.

    Top Tips

    • You can easily make a golden oreo cookie crust by crushing Oreos and stirring in some melted butter. Press the mixture into a 9-inch pie dish or springform pan. If you're feeling adventurous, try using regular Oreos or even graham crackers for the crust.
    • To make spreading the ice cream easier, let it sit out for about 5–10 minutes. If it gets too melty, just pop it back in the freezer for a few minutes to firm up again.
    • Here's another way to crush Oreos into a fine crumb! Put needed quantity in a plastic bag and pound with a rolling pin.

    Ingredients

Here are the ingredients you will need - golden oreo cookies, ready-made pie crust, cool whip (shown later in the steps), and ice cream:

    Instructions

Add the oreo ice cream into the pie plate and flatten it out using a rubber spatula:

Fold the cool whip on top of the ice cream:

Flatten out the cool whip just like what we did to the oreo ice cream:

I wanted to make it prettier so I went on and garnished the pie with Oreos on top:

To add a bit of extra flavor and to make the presentation more festive, you can put some whipped cream on top.

It is advisable to add this just before serving as it melts easily:
