    FAQs

Why is my ice cream not creamy?

Your pineapple may not be frozen enough, or your yogurt may be too thin. Use fully frozen pineapple chunks and thick Greek yogurt. Stop and scrape down the blender as needed. Do the same if you're using a food processor or ice cream maker instead.

If using plain yogurt, choose a thick variety. One of the important things to remember is that the yogurt's thickness affects the final texture.

Can I use canned pineapple instead of frozen pineapple?

Yes, but drain the pineapple juice first and freeze the pineapple chunks until solid. This helps create a thicker, creamier texture. For the best flavor, choose fresh pineapple packed in juice rather than heavy syrup. Cover the chunks in a freezer-safe container before freezing.

    Can I add sweeteners?

Yes! A little vanilla extract can give your ice cream a richer flavor. You can also add honey or sugar if you prefer a sweeter treat. But these are optional additions.

Can I serve this with other food?

Absolutely! This recipe pairs well with a slice of sweet bread. For extra nutrition, serve it with your favorite fruit. I love adding mango to mine. It's also a refreshing dessert minutes after a filling meal.

What other fruit goes well with pineapple?

Pineapple pairs exceptionally well with tropical fruits, citrus fruits, and creamy fruits because its vibrant acidity and juicy sweetness can either enhance similar tropical notes or provide a sharp contrast to richer flavors.
