- For a more rich taste, you can slice the cake horizontally with a serrated knife and fill with strawberry jams in between the laters!
How to Make this Strawberry Pocky Cake Recipe:
Gather the ingredients for this Strawberry Pocky Cake. Once the ingredients are all ready, let’s begin!
- cream cheese, softened
- butter
- vanilla extract
- powdered sugar, sifted
For the heart shapes, I used a strawberry cake box mix and my vanilla cake recipe which you can find here.
This recipe is very easy to make, basically just follow the steps. However the cream cheese frosting was to die for, it goes very well with the strawberries! I hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s day!
Here is the pink cake mix that I made or just mixed. This is ready for baking. We will use this for the pink cake hearts later:
After cooling the cake for 15-20 minutes, you can cut out the cake hearts:
After cutting them out from the pink cake, I let them stay in the fridge for about 10 minutes just to let them become firm before putting them in the white cake mix batter:
Follow the instructions on the cake box and tadaaaah! You now have your white cake mix batter, ready for baking!
Add the white cake batter to the cake pan and place the cake hearts on the cake batter, like this:
You can put as many cake hearts as you want. Here I put six cake hearts <3 Once that is finished, add the rest of the cake batter:
Don’t worry if the cake batter did not cover up all the cake hearts, the cake will rise 😉
While waiting for the cake to get baked, let’s make the frosting!
Into a large bowl, add the softened butter and vanilla extract:
Slowly add the powdered sugar while mixing it with a handheld mixer or a stand mixer until it reaches a creamy and fluffy consistency. Set aside:
Here it is! The cake is ready to be decorated after cooling it for 15-20 minutes:
Frost the cake with the cream cheese frosting! This part is exciting and it’s okay for it not to be perfect 😉
Prepare your strawberry pocky sticks and fresh sliced strawberries 🙂

After decorating the cake top, place the strawberry pocky sticks around the cake. I know this will come out so pretty!

To secure the pocky sticks, I tied a pink ribbon around the cake and tied it in a cute way 🙂

- Slowly add powdered sugar 1 cup at a time.
