Tips and Tricks for Making This Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe:

    • Before mixing the dry ingredients, make sure you have sifted them carefully, especially the all-purpose flour and the sugars. This will eliminate lumps that do not taste so good 😉
    • In making cookies like this, make sure to check the butter you are using. Unsalted butter is always the best choice.
    • To make the mixing process of the butter and sugar easier, make sure you have the butter at room temperature for at least 15-20 minutes after taking it out from the chiller – or longer if you have frozen butter.
    • Keep these cookies for days by putting them in an airtight container.

Frequently Asked Questions for SunButter Cookies Recipe:

Q: Can I add white chocolate chips to this recipe?

A: Yes, that is absolutely a delicious idea! If you are not into counting calories, add a scoop 🙂

Q: Can greek yogurt be a substitute for cream cheese?

A: Greek yogurt may give a slightly sour taste to the cookie so I won’t recommend replacing the cream cheese with it.

Since the instructions say “sugars”, I would assume it should call for both brown and white sugar. Most recipes of this size call for about 1 cup total sugar. I don’t like them too sweet, so I used 1/4 cup white & 1/2 cup brown. Personally, I found the recipe kind of bland. To kick things up a bit, try adding Rice Krispies, oatmeal or nuts.
