These cookies are foolproof and perfect for beginner bakers: one bowl, a few minutes of prep, minimal cleanup, rich, soft, and packed with chocolate flavor.

Nutella lends sweetness as well as healthy fats from hazelnuts. It's not a vegan recipe. But you can swap out ingredients to make it vegan.

    Substitutions & Variations

    • Ingredient Swap
You can replace the egg with a flax egg for a dairy-free, egg-free option.
Use a gluten-free all-purpose flour blend if needed. Results stay soft.
    • Variation
Add chocolate chips or chopped hazelnuts for extra texture.
    • Mistake to Avoid
Overbaking. The cookies should look soft when removed.
    • Storage Tips
      • These cookies freeze well for up to 1 month/
      • Keep baked cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 2–3 days.
