    Substitutions and Variations

    • Ingredient Swap
You can swap unsalted butter for vegan butter to make this dairy-free.
    • Variation
Mini marshmallows and white chocolate chunks can work aside from Candy Corn.
    • Mistake to Avoid
The candy corn melts quickly and can get too sticky. So don't overbake!
    • Storage Tips
      • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
      • Freeze dough balls for up to 2 months; bake from frozen, adding 1–2 minutes to baking time.
      • Baked cookies can also be frozen and thawed as needed.

Not really. If you don't have one, a stand mixer or sturdy spatula will work!
